THE RATING
Every comparison
adds information.
Elo adjusts a photo’s rating based on the result and its opponent’s rating within the same audience. A less-expected result produces a larger adjustment.

Results describe how a photograph is perceived by participating voters. They do not measure a person’s worth, establish compatibility, or guarantee a representative sample of a country.
KEEPING THE POOL AUTHENTIC
Real participants.
Accountable comparisons.
- Check before publication. Uploaded photos stay private while screening and live verification are completed.
- Review questionable images. Reports prompt assessment. Uncertain cases receive further verification or review; a report count alone does not decide removal.
- Correct the whole dataset. Invalid images and their comparisons are excluded, then affected ratings are recalculated.
- Protect against manipulation. Flagged voting accounts have their past and future votes excluded from scoring. Unusual preferences alone are not evidence of abuse.
